As the world's population tops 6 billion people, trash production is at an all time high. Landfills are filling up at an incredible rate, and the available space for new landfills is running out. Global energy demand is also on the rise. EPI uses its state-of-the-art waste-to-energy technology in conjunction with recycling to help solve the problems of waste disposal and energy demand. EPI has the ability to convert municipal waste such as trash or RDF (refuse derived fuel) into an excellent source of energy. This is done by separating the metals, plastics, paper, and glass. The recyclable material is then recycled, and the combustible materials are cleanly and effectively incinerated to produce energy. Our fluidized bed combustion technology was featured as "Solid Waste Technologies" cover story in their June 1999 issue.
