EPI Experience
Since its founding in 1973, Energy
Products of Idaho (EPI)
has designed, built, and operated a wide variety of energy systems and power
plants. EPI has participated in commissioning, maintenance, operator
training, maintenance training, testing and initial operation on over 90
energy systems world wide, and continues to be heavily involved in the
ongoing operations of many facilities through our customer service,
operations, and equipment supply divisions. |
| With over 25 years
experience, EPI is uniquely positioned to provide added value as an operation and
maintenance contractor for energy centers and power production facilities. EPI is a
motivated and experienced operation and maintenance company. |
|
The EPI Advantage
EPI
can offer several inherent advantages as an O&M contractor. First, and perhaps
most important, our primary motivation is to make the facility operate
successfully. Successful operating facilities are a critical element in
continued sales of equipment and engineering services. Second, through our
extensive customer service program, we are constantly in contact with dozens of
operating facilities. These contacts give us the knowledge of new innovations
and operating and maintenance methods that are successfully employed at other
facilities. Third, our full service engineering, commissioning and manufacturing
staff and facilities become a real part of the resources available to the
operating facility.
|
In 1991, DuPont selected
EPI as the operation and maintenance contractor for a new fluidized bed facility supplied
under a turnkey contract by EPI in Brevard, NC. With our extensive industry contacts and
relationships, EPI assembled the right talent to manage, operate and maintain the
facility. Our solid fuel combustion expertise became directly available to the operating
facility to ensure maximum on-stream availability and enabled the plant to continually add
new fuels to the supply stream. |
